Lamatar Community of Lubhu, Lalitpur was severely suffering due to highly contaminated water and there was a screaming need of proper water treatment systems for clean drinking water, so Oxfam Nepal developed a project to mitigate the water problem of this community. With this regard, on August 2016, Oxfam Nepal granted consultancy service to ENPHO (Environment and Public Health Organization) and ENPHO therefore chose Best Paani as its implementation partner to install bio-sand filtration systems to treat the contaminated water of the community. Best Paani distributed bio-sand filters in 58 households of Lamatar, Lubhu with the financial support of ENPHO. These systems are now serving approximately 500 people of the project areas. Here is the story of one of the households where Oxfam, ENPHO and Best Paani together have impacted through the project.
